Happy Halloween (yesterday!)

Yesterday we met my mom for breakfast and then headed to story time. Wade did SO GOOD at story time and sat and listened the entire time. School is really helping with stuff like this. We met some friends at Chick-fil-a for lunch and that about did us in. It was crazy busy because school was out.

After a much needed nap time yesterday we headed to the bank for Wade to open his first savings account. I don't think he really understood what we were doing because at first he said "but that's my money" so in the car I told him they were going to keep his money safe for him and no one would take it-I was trying to explain that if we left it at our house something could happen to it (try explaining that to a 2.5 yr old...it just didn't work) So at the bank as he was handing his money over my child yells "And no one is going to steal it either!" Of course everything was as quiet as could be when he said that. The girls at the bank all got a good laugh!!! Josh was able to get off early and got to go with us to the bank.

All day I had to keep Wade away from the windows in the back of the house because they set up his big play set yesterday. We wanted to show him together when Josh got home. Of course it had to be raining so he couldn't play on it yesterday. The minute we walked into the house he looked out the window and says "what is that!!" He was so excited (thanks Nana and Poppy-he loves it and can't wait to play today)

After showing him his play set we headed into the garage to carve our pumpkin. It was so nice this year (especially since it was raining) to have a garage to use. Mom and dad came over to bring Wade's Halloween surprise and to hang out at our house while we went around the cul-ti-sac. Our street was the perfect size for Wade. We also went by two of our friends house's who live close by. Wade got lots of candy and didn't seem to mind walking in the rain. He was so cute and would ring the doorbell and say "Trick or Treat!" and. then say "thank you" and walk away just smiling. He got home and dumped all his candy on the floor and just stared at it. We let him have a couple of pieces before bed however he did not sleep well at all and said his "tummy hurt," I guess it is because we hardly ever give him candy?? I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween.
