Picture Dump #2

Here are just some random pictures from Josh's phone. I always forget to add these to the blog. Some are from the beach, our Labor Day lake trip and some are just random. They are kinda blurry but I wanted to stick them on her for our next blog book!! I have no idea why some are small and some are big-they are all from the same phone. The one of Wade sleeping makes me laugh. I went into his room and he had pulled down his costume from last year and had it on!





Picture Dump #1

Well I finally went back and added WK's 7 month pictures to her post. Here are a few more from the last week or two. I love these of them in their towels but could not get them both to look at me...I tried everything and a certain 3 yr old would not cooperate :)

I love this one of Wade and Ashley. It is from Ashley's birthday party. The one below of Wade and WK in the kitchen is my new favorite of them. I love that they are both looking and smiling-that may not happen again for a long time!! WK is laughing in the one where her little head is leaning forward. She is such a funny girl.

This big boy went to school last week with his shoes on the wrong feet. His sweet teacher felt so bad because she noticed it and then got busy and forgot to switch them. I guess it didn't bother him too bad.

I have noticed that Westin is more "advanced" than Wade was with her motor skills. She is already grabbing puffs with her fingers and putting them in her mouth. She LOVES them and has started eating a little bit of table food too. Wade choked so bad with puffs and did not do well with table food until he was close to 9 months.

Wade and I made our first batch of pumpkin muffins this past weekend. He loves them and they are so easy to make. He is already asking for another batch. Josh painted our half bath and painted Wade a chalkboard this weekend and Wade wanted to help with the tape. He loves helping his daddy. He has also been working hard on writing his last name and is so close to doing it. He still needs a little help with the "Z." He is so excited that he can write Wade Foltz!!!



Still here...

We are still here and one day I will get caught up on blogging :) These days are just flying by; I can't believe we are already half way through September. It is crazy that it is going to be Christmas before we know it.

I really need to upload Westin Kate's 7 month pictures too!! Hopefully tonight I will get caught up. I do have to say I am loving three day preschool so much. It make a big difference having that third morning to get stuff done. Westin Kate had a little cold this week. It was barely even a cold she was really just stuff at night only and coughed a few times but that lead to us not sleeping very much. She is not a great sleeper anyways so this stuffy nose just made matter worse. So I have been extra lazy during nap time the last few days.

7 Months Old

Westin Kate, Oh you poor 2nd child!! Finally I am getting around to your 7 month post. I feel like things have been so busy lately I have just not had time to sit down and blog. My sweet girl turned 7 months last week. I LOVE this age. She is precious. I would be rich if I had a penny every time someone came up to us and said "she is the happiest baby!" I have honestly never been around a baby that is so happy all the time. Josh watched her Saturday while I took Wade to a birthday party and I got a text that said "easiest baby ever!!" She wakes up happy, she plays, you lay her down and she smiles and goes right to sleep, you feed her and play some more and then she goes to bed great at night. The only issue we have is that she still likes to wake up way to early to nurse. She still gets up between 4-6am to eat. Of course I could let her cry it out but for now it works for us. She goes right back to sleep and sleeps until 8-9am.

She has stopped wanting to nurse during the day. I don't know what is going on with her but she is just so busy she doesn't want to stop to eat. It seems like she is only getting 16-20oz of breast milk these days. She eats about 4oz every 4-5 hours. She also eats oatmeal for breakfast and a veggie and some fruit for dinner. Sometimes I give her a little fruit for lunch. We haven't quite got the 3 meals down yet but we are getting there. I was worried because she isn't drinking as much breast milk but she is gaining weight so I guess she is getting what she needs. Here is what she is up to:

• weighs 18.5lbs (87%)
• I don't have a clue how long she is but she looks short to me!!
• size 1-2 shoe but I never put her in shoes
• wears mostly 6-9 months clothes and some 9 months- size 3 diapers
• nurses/drinks breast milk every 4-5 hours
• eats 2 solid meals a day-we are working on adding the 3rd in each day
• she is so chubby but she does not eat as well as Wade did...we really have to make her eat most meals
• smiles ALL day long and is the happiest baby ever
• never ever cries
• takes 3 naps still-one hr morning nap, 2-3 hr afternoon nap, and usually a 30-40 min nap around dinner time
• goes to bed at 8pm does a good 8 hour stretch, nurses and goes back to sleep for another 4 hours or so
• LOVES to sit and play with all her toys-I love that I am getting to use all Wade's toys again
• loves the toys that make music the most-right now she loves her little lap top so much
• is sitting so well-I still keep a pillow behind her because she is so busy-she usually falls forward to her tummy because she is trying to grab something
• has no interest in crawling and I am actually thankful for this (I am not ready to chase her yet)
• has her two little bottom teeth
• LOVES Wade so much-gets so excited to see her Daddy too
• will fake cough for attention if no one is talking to her
• likes anything shiny or sparkly (she is such a girl)
• chews on EVERYTHING
• sits in grocery carts and high chairs now
• rolls all over the room-I can leave her for 5 minutes and come back and she is across the room
• loves to be outside
• will hold her hands in front of her face and just stare at them-its like she just noticed them and it is so funny
• grabs everything or pulls everything down

Westin Kate,
Another month has gone by and we are loving watching you grow. We wish that you wouldn't grow so fast but you are at the sweetest age. You are happy all the time and have these big brown eyes that pretty much will get you anything you want (from your daddy of course!!) He is going to have a hard time telling you "no" because you are so cute and sweet. You are a busy busy girl and laugh and squeal all day long. You wear a hair bow all the time because you still don't have much hair-you have a teeny bit of blond peach fuzz. You smile so big each morning when you brother comes into your room to see if you are awake. You just love him so much. Today you bit his nose and he was so mad at you-you smiled the entire time he was whining!! We love you so much sweet girl.

Birthday's

Happy 7 Months to my sweet sweet girl. I still don't know how this happened and I know the next few months are going to fly by too. Time please slow down!! You are at such a fun age and you are just precious. We love you so much but this momma is very tired (you still like to wake up between 4-6am to eat) so your 7 month post is going to have to wait until tomorrow!!

Happy Happy 25th Birthday to my sister/Aunt Ashwee!! We hope you are having a great day. It is so sad that you are spending your birthday in Mexico. I am sure you aren't having any fun :) Wade has been missing you!! See you tomorrow. Hope your birthday was a great one.

Wade has school tomorrow and WK has her 6 month pictures. We are only a month behind on that. However I really wanted her sitting better (straight up) for her pictures. She is sitting so well and is so happy about this. She loves to play with her toys sitting up now! I also didn't want to take a certain 3 year old with me while trying to get pictures taken and picked out. We are just going to a cheaper place tomorrow and for her 9 month one's too . I think I will do professional one's again in Feb/March. WK will be one and Wade will be almost 4.

Oh and before I forget lets talk about embarrassing moments for a second. Today I had to take WK to the doctor for her reflux and I had to take Wade with me. As I am sitting in the room talking with the nurse Wade says "Mommy" and I chose to ignore him and keep talking to her so we could get done. Well a few seconds later (3 yr olds are not patient!!) I hear him in a louder voice say "Mommy why does she have a beard?" I wanted to either A. hide under the table and never come out or B. bang my head on the table. I didn't even know what to say to the sweet girl so I just nicely got in Wade's face and told him to sit down and be quiet and kept talking to her. Thankfully she just kept asking me questions so it wasn't as awkward. Oh this kid...I have told him over and over- Wade if you have a "funny" question about someone you have to whisper it to mommy first. Maybe one day that will actually work!!

1st day of 3yr Preschool!

Today was Wade's 1st day of 3 year old preschool. He was pretty excited but I could tell he was a little nervous too. He asked me once if I could stay with him and then he asked me if I could walk him in today. They encouraged car pool from day 1 and I love it. It is so nice to just drop him off and not have to get Westin Kate out of the car. Wade did great with car pool and kissed me and waved bye. I am so proud of our big boy.

I am guessing he is doing great because I haven't gotten a call from school :) I am so excited for him and I am hoping that he has a great first day and a great year. I love that he is going to go three days a week. Westin Kate takes a one hour morning nap and it is so nice that I can get some stuff done around here while she is napping. I may actually stay caught up on blogging. This is a big week because of school and tomorrow WK turns 7 months old. I am not really sure how that happened???



 All ready to go with his new lunch box. I love that they take their lunch every day. It is so nice that he has already eaten when I pick him up.

Meet the teacher

Last Friday we went to "meet the teacher" day at Wade's school. Wade was a little nervous about going into a new class but I think he will love it. I know he will miss his sweet teachers from last year but he has GREAT teachers this year too. Wade loved it that I stayed with him on Friday. WK supported the pirates and looked so sweet in her big purple bow. We hate we missed the first game but it was way too hot to take them this time. WK was having fun playing on our bed while I was getting Wade ready to meet his new teachers.

 We didn't show this one to daddy. This sweet and silly girl thought it was so funny to pull her shirt down. She would pull it down and laugh. She is so silly!!

Here is my big 3 year old. I love that he poses just like Josh with his hands in his pockets! He was a little shy and timid about going in his new class but loved all the new toys and things in his room.
