Halloween 2012

We had so much fun this year on Halloween. Wade was over the moon excited pretty much all week. The night before we carved our pumpkin in the garage and got it all ready. Wade could hardly even nap on Wednesday. He woke up after 1.5 hours and I asked him why he didn't sleep so long and he says, "I am too excited about Halloween to sleep!!"

Wade was trying to decide last minute between Buzz and a Knight!!

My parents came over around 6pm and we got the kids dressed and ready. Poor WK...I bought her outfit a couple of months ago at a consignment sale because it was cute and so cheap. Well not sure what I was thinking because I bought 6-9 months. Its a good thing she was only going to two houses with us because she couldn't straighten her legs all the way and we couldn't button the bottom around her diaper. It gave us all a good laugh! My parents kept her here and answered our door for us. It was just too cold for her to go with us. Wade LOVED every minute of it and didn't want to come back home an hour later. He ran around with one of our little neighbors most of the time and they went door to door together. He thought it was so "cool" to get candy from each house. A couple of times I had to remind him to use good manners. One time he said "I don't like any of this candy!" and the other time he said "Why do they only have suckers?"

We were freezing and he was having a ball. We took his wagon but he mostly just ran around. We love our neighborhood and seeing all of our neighbors was a lot of fun. Wade is at the best age for stuff like this and it makes it so much fun. Here are some pictures of my sweet babies on Halloween. Warning I took a bunch but it was WK first time dressing up!! Love this little lamb.

And here is the picture of her poor little costume that didn't even fit. I just love that it wouldn't even button! She didn't seem to mind.

Going over to our neighbors house. We just love them and are so thankful that they love our children!!

This was one happy boy! I could just eat Westin up in that last picture. She had so much fun playing with Wade's candy. One time we looked over and she had grabbed a sour patch kid that Wade had opened. She tasted it and made the cutest face because it was so sour!!

More Fall Fun

On October 27th we took Wade to Apex Baptist's Fall Festival. We try to take him every year because he loves it so much. This year we were going with his best friend Chase so of course Wade had to be Spider Man just like Chase. Mimi bought Wade a bunch of costumes from a yard sell so we had a lot to choose from this year :) Wade and Chase had so much fun together. This age is so much for stuff like this. Wade is trying to fool you in this first picture. He will act so sweet and want to hold "sister" and then when he does he WILL NOT smile for the camera!!

Monday October 29th Wade had his Songfest at school. The kids wear their costumes and they sing a few Halloween songs for the parents. Wade was Buzz Lightyear for school this year. He looked so sweet and I could have just eaten him up when he was up there singing away. He would smile so big and wave to Mom and I. Josh couldn't come because of work but I got some good video's of him.

This is Wade's class this year. They were missing 4 people that day. Wade just loves his sweet friends so much. Notice the big smile on his face in the next picture...he had just changed out of his costume and was sitting with his teacher Miss Minda getting ready to read a book. She asked him to smile for me-at least he will listen to her!!

My Pumpkins!

Saturday October 20th we took the kids to the pumpkin patch. It was such a pretty day and we were so excited about Westin Kate's first trip to the pumpkin patch. Wade was excited to see "the witch" that he still talks about from last year. They have this little corn maze and in the corn maze is the witch. He loved that silly thing. We had a great morning. We took some pictures, played some and went on a hay ride. I think the pumpkin patch is one of my favorite things to do with the kids. Plus to me this is just the best time of year.

We had to work hard to try to get a good picture. Of course my favorite one of the two of them and someone had his eyes close!! It never fails but one day they will both look and smile at me. Poor Westin Kate is so used to pictures that now when we say cheese she will just start smiling most of the time. I love the picture of them on the hay ride because it looks like they are talking about something. These two are really starting to interact more together and it is so sweet to watch. I just love October and still can't believe it is already over. We can't wait for the pumpkin patch next year.

Fair 2012

Well once again I am WAY behind on blogging but because of my OCD I have to have these blog post in order so here goes!! Here is the first of many catch up blogs. We took Wade to the fair on Oct.17th. It was such a busy week. We got back from the beach Monday, Josh's birthday was Tuesday and we did the fair on Wednesday. We decided to leave Westin Kate with my parents so we could have some one on one with Wade. Ashley and Zach came along for the fun too. We all had a blast and Wade only had one meltdown. Thanks to Ashley who ordered the corn dog...little did I know Wade now LOVES corn dogs and I ordered him a hot dog. Heaven forbid you get that wrong and when our food came out and he saw Ashley's plate he lost it for a bit :) We eventually got over it and he ate his hot dog and all was good. I loved riding with Wade this year (I was pregnant last year!!) He loved all the rides and of course loved his candy apple and his taste of Josh's fried snickers. He is already ready to go back again.

And just because I think she is cute and we can't leave her out here are two random pictures of WK in October!! The girl loves her bath time.

Confessional Friday

I saw this on another girls blog and thought it was so cute so here goes:

  • I confess that because of Josh's bday and the fair I have eaten way too much the past two days. Time to get serious again...I am starting shakes for lunch today!!
  • I confess that I am SO over pumping it is not even funny. Trying to make it another month or two and then I am going to be so happy its done
  • I confess that I really need to let my 8 month old cry it out because she still does not sleep more than 6-7 hours at a time but it is so much easier to just feed her than to hear her cry!
  • I confess that we had a great week but I am glad it almost over...we were too busy this week.
  • I confess that this weekend Josh Foltz and I have a date with our attic and attic steps so that we do not look like hoarders anymore.
  • I confess that I hate to cook dinner because I hate cleaning up the mess afterwards. Just keeping it real and being honest
  • I confess that I wanted to pretend I did not know my own child yesterday while waiting in line to get dinner at a fast food place that took 25 minutes-glad you didn't see me on the news looking for a missing child. It almost came to that point
  • I confess that I am over the fact that Westin Kate now hates to sit in her car seat and high chair and that I am really over the fact that she screams and arches her back when I try to snap her in
  • I confess that I am so ready for the weekend so Josh will be home and I will have some help with our lovely children
  • I confess that I held a perfect sweet newborn last night and while I loved every second of it I did not wish one time that I could go back and start over again
  • I confess that I occasionally keep Josh's check book in my car and occasionally pull it out to use from time to time
  • I confess that my sweet husband brought home a gold Michael Kors watch for me last week for no reason...I think I will keep him!!

Happy Friday...We had a great time at the fair (minus one melt down) and I am hoping to get those pictures up soon!!
