Random's

I love this age (well most of it!) Wade says the funniest things and Josh and I are constantly laughing or telling each other something that he said. I have been writing a lot of these things down and find little papers all over the house. So finally I am getting them down in the blog. This is one of those post's that you may want to just skip over...it is mostly just for us and our blog book!

Wade so excited to be walking on his tip toes!
  • "I'm sorry for crying mommy"
  • "ECU = Go Pirates"
  • Thanks for putting medicine on my foot, it feels better!"
  • "guys guys...no talking"
  • "where are you?"
  • "what do you got?"
  • "lets get back to work mommy"
  • "my mommy pops me with a brown spoon"
  • "you listen to me" (he said this while grabbing my face one day- pretty sure I have said this before!"
  • "their regular house?" (he says this sometimes when we tell him we are going to mom and dad's house, he calls their houses...regular house and lake house)
  • "trust me on this one!" (this was my favorite...he said this when he was talking about Josh telling him something)
  • "exactly, you got it" (talking about stopping at the red light)
  • "that's like a meatball" (TMI-talking about a boogie on his finger!)
  • "God loves me so I can do anything at church"
  • "hello boobie" (to the nice little girl at school he was meeting)
  • "that girl had a pop tart with sprinkles on it"
  • "you have to take care of me, I have a boo boo on my foot" (one day when I wasn't paying attention to him!)
  • "ECU pirates are not pink they are purple" (talking about my sweatshirt)
  • "baby Westin would like that" (talking about a barbie commercial)
  • "thats what I was talking about"
  • "I want a piece of bite of it!" (he always says this when he wants something sweet!!)
  • "is that a diving board?" (bless him, he said this when Josh got the ironing board out...Josh told him its ok I know you have never seen your mom use it!!)
  • "have a good day"
  • "maybe we can go get some food tonight?"
  • "your the bug man" (I love when he says this...its when I wear a gray tshirt from our church, I guess I look like our bug man!)

The other day we took him to Evelyn's soccer game and he was so cute. He would yell "go Evelyn." Well at the end of the game he says "tell you something Evelyn, good job!" Well she didn't say anything when he said this so Wade says "say thank you!!" We all laughed so hard.

Josh and went on a date night this weekend. When we dropped him off at mom's he was so excited and when we told him bye he said the sweetest thing. All we said was "bye Wade" and he says "Love you guys!" It was so sweet it almost made me cry. We didn't tell him we loved him he just said it himself. I wish I could have that sweet voice on video saying it.

The other day we were running late on the way to school and I drove through a red light and said "crap." Wade says, "whats wrong mommy?" I told him what I did and my 2.5 year old says, "green means go, yellow means slow down, and red means stop mommy!" I told him I was sorry and I would always try to stop at red lights. He is so going to be on safety patrol one day (if they still have that at school!)

Wade was crying tonight at bedtime and I asked why he was crying? He says, "my tummy hurts" and I said why does your tummy hurt? He then says, "because I'm sick" so I said, why are you sick? He says "because I want you :)" He was so trying to get me to stay in his room!!

Pumpkin Patch

This past Saturday we took Wade to the pumpkin patch. We had a really good time. They had a corn maze (which he loved!), a hayride and then they had some kids riding toys, a slide, swings, and a few other little things. They even had some donkey's and a pig. Wade really enjoyed the hayride- we didn't do one last year but I am so glad we did one this year. We even picked out two pumpkins to bring home. I look forward to fun stuff like this all year.

October is by far my favorite month of the year. I love the weather and all the fun Fall activities. It is getting so much fun now that wade really understands things. Seeing the excitement on his little face makes it so much fun. I can't wait for Halloween this year. Halloween is not my favorite Holiday but I do enjoy it more now that he gets to dress up and have fun. We always do a couple of Fall Festivals each year. One is at our church and one is at the church I grew up at and they are both so much fun. This year he will get to wear his costume multiple times because he also has a school party and a school festival as well. Here are some pictures from the pumpkin patch.

20 weeks (halfway there!!)

How Far Along: 20 weeks

Size of baby: 6.5 in and 10.2oz

Gender: It's a girl....Westin Kate

Maternity Clothes: Yes- shorts and pants. Wearing some regular tops and some maternity. Still wearing my regular dresses.

Weight Gain: I hit the double digits...10lbs!! I am pretty happy about 10lbs in 20 weeks and hoping to only gain 10-15more! I would love to gain 25-30lbs since I gained around 45ish with Wade.

Movement: Some... I have a anterior placenta which acts as a cushion between her and I so it will take a little longer to really start feeling her move :( I usually feel her a few times a day, and when I feel her it is way down below my belly button.

Sleep: This has not been great lately- starting to get more uncomfortable and my ears still hurt at night!

Symptoms: only mild nausea here and there (so thankful!), ear and throat pain- they want me to follow up wth ENT next week if it is not better after taking Sudafed. Lots of acid reflux too!!!

What I miss: Not too much, maybe sleeping on my stomach! Maybe the occasional glass of wine as well!!

Cravings: None really

What I am looking forward to: Getting to 24 weeks and having at least one more u/s. I found out at my last appointment that because my placenta is anterior it is also a placenta previa. I had one with Wade early on but it had moved by this point. He said we will do a third trimester u/s for sure to check. Hopefully it will move so I don't have to have a C-section.

Beach Pictures

October Beach Trip

Since I was so sick this summer we didn't get to the beach as much as we wanted. We were so excited to get back to the beach last weekend. The weather was so nice. Friday was the only day it was warm enough to swim so I am so glad Wade and I went early with my mom, dad and sister. My parents had not been in 2 years so they were so excited to go. The 5 of us piled in one car and got there by 1230p Friday. Josh and Zach had to work so they came later Friday night. We stayed on the beach from 1-4pm then I brought Wade in for a short nap so he could make it through dinner. We went to Barefoot Friday night and had so much fun walking around. Can I tell you how much I love Fall weather.

Saturday the girls went shopping and Josh and Zach took Wade to play putt putt for the first time. To say he had a blast is a understatement. That is all he talked about. They bought a day pass and we went back that night so we could see him play too. He is actually really good and even got a hole in one! He kept saying "I am the winner!" I was so excited to get some Christmas shopping done early. We were so sad that Nana and Poppy were not able to come down this weekend. Wade kept asking for them every time we would come back to their condo. Sunday we relaxed and spent some time on the beach that afternoon before heading home. It was a great weekend and I am so glad we went. I think October is my favorite month at the beach. I am going to do a separate post of just pictures because there are so many. I am hoping we will get back to the beach one more time before Westin Kate gets here.

19 week picture

I am not doing very well taking pictures these days...finally here is my 19 week picture. Things are going well and I am so happy to be halfway there. Thankfully they will induce me by 39 weeks if she is not here because of Wade's size. Still hoping she comes at 37 weeks like Wade did (wishful thinking I know!!)

2.5 years old!

Well I am behind on blogging once again but wanted to do a post today because Wade is 2.5 today. Where has the time gone? I can't believe that in 6 months I will have a 3 year old. We are so thankful for our big boy. Here is a little bit of what he is up to these days.
  • weighs around 33-34lbs
  • around 3 ft and 1/4in tall
  • still takes one afternoon nap-sleeps anywhere from 2-3 hours
  • sleeps well at night- goes down by 830p but has been waking up lately having bad dreams around 1-3am. He tells us there are alligators, monsters or giants in his room :)
  • goes to school twice a week and LOVES it
  • loves to do anything outside
  • loves "playing" sports- anything you can play with a ball is right up his alley; also loves playing frisbee
  • loves sticks and rocks
  • still loves to eat
  • has been potty trained now for 4 months
  • talks ALL day long
  • loves to sing "his music"
  • knows his ABC's and how to count to 30
  • knows his letters, shapes and colors
  • knows how to spell his first and last name
  • still wants his baby sister to live in Greenville!!
  • Would still sleep in a crib if we let him- actually took a nap in there today because I was too tired to argue with him
  • he is so funny and loves to make us laugh
  • loves Kung Fu Panda, all the Toy Story movies, Bee Movie, Happy Feet, Over the Hedge and Nemo
  • Still likes to watch Barney, Elmo and Mickey at times
  • wants to take some naps on the floor still

I know I am forgetting so much but these are some of the things he is up to. He is such a sweet boy. I have to say he hardly ever cries, has never thrown a real tantrum and is so funny. Now he is WIDE OPEN at times and is ALL BOY but I would not change that for a minute! He does get in trouble for yelling and being "mean"  or not listening sometimes but overall he is such a great and easy kid. He is VERY independent these days and wants to do everything "by myself!" I have just loved watching him grow and change over the past few months. He just seems so old to me these days. I can't wait to meet his sister but I am so thankful that we will have had almost three years with just Wade before she gets here.

Wade,
We love you so much and can't believe you are two and a half years old today. We are so thankful for you and for your fun and sweet personality. We can't wait to watch you grow and change over the next 6 months. Daddy calls you his best friend and loves you so much too! We are so proud of the little boy you are becoming. We love you,
Mommy & Daddy
