I can't believe that Wade will be 3 on Wednesday. Because this weekend is Easter we decided to have his party this past Saturday. I am so glad we had it inside because the weather was not great. Saturday morning was a little crazy...thanks to Ashley for helping me get the room all set up. Josh kept Wade home and Ashley, WK and I went and picked up the cake and balloons and decorated the room. We rented out the inside play place at our church. It has a huge play place and the kids had a blast running around and playing. Our families were there and Wade had a few friends come this year!
It was a "super hero" party and turned out really cute. We did Batman and Spiderman plates and napkins and Walmart made a really cute Spiderman cupcake cake-I was surprised at how cute it turned out! Wade wore his Incredible Hulk shirt and was so proud of it. It was a really laid back/low key party but they had a blast. They ran and ran all around. We did pizza, pretzels and cupcakes for the little ones. Wade loved blowing out his candle and opening presents. He was a little sweat ball when we left! I am so glad he had such a fun time at his party. Thanks to everyone who came and thanks for all the great gifts. He has enjoyed playing with his new toys this week.
Wednesday we are going to take him to Chucky Cheese. My mom's side of the family is meeting us there to celebrate. Wade is so excited and has been asking to go for weeks. We haven't taken him there or Monkey Joe's lately because I was afraid he would get sick. I feel like those places are just germ pits. Hopefully now that Spring is here it will be ok. Tonight we went to Monkey Joes and had a great time-Wade LOVES to go and bounce and we love it because he is so worn out when we leave!!! Thursday we are taking M&M cookies (per Wade's request) to playgroup to celebrate one last time-we are celebrating our special boy all week!
And just because it is so cute...Wade came home from church on Sunday and tells us-"Jesus died on cross/in the water (we aren't sure about the water??) and now he is a-lied" (alive!!) It was too sweet-we are so thankful for our church and what they are teaching our 2 year olds!! Wade moves up to the 3-5 year old room in May :( We will miss his sweet teachers for sure.
I will post pictures soon!
