My sweet boy turned two at 12:04pm on the 4th. After a great weekend he was worn out. His stomach was still not feeling great but other than not wanting to eat much you would have never known he didn't feel well. We woke up and got ready for his birthday breakfast. We went to Bojangles. Here is my little 2 year old on his birthday, we had a few presents that we didn't open on Sunday so we brought them home for him to open on Monday. Yes this is the third time he wore his shirt...it was clean and he cried when we took it off of him!!
Let me fill you in on the story behind Bojangles. We go every Monday morning. We call it our "breakfast date!" It is so special that Wade and I get this time together each week. Now lets talk about my dad...he goes to Bo's every day. There is a group of people all 55 years old and up that meet every morning. Wade calls them "pops friends." I mean this is serious business, they even have a phone list (Bojangles group) and get together outside of Bo's as well. Most of the women are over the age of 75!! It is so sweet and dad eats up the attention from the older women. Well you can just imagine how they feel about Wade. He eats up the attention as well. So the sweet women had a little party for wade. One made a cake and the other sweet lady named Susan (who is my parents age) brought all the plates, napkins and even a candle for Wade. He even got a couple of presents and some money for his piggy bank. Here is my birthday boy at Bo's. Mom brought home his big cupcake since he didn't eat any at his party. Thanks again to my mother in law for making all the great cupcakes and for my mom who made Wade's big cupcake.
Here is wade calling daddy and telling him about his Bojangles party. My poor boy got a little bit of sunburn on his face from his birthday party. Time to get the sunscreen out!!
After his Bojangles party we headed to story time and then to lunch. Today was a very special day because Daddy got to go with us to story time and lunch. Wade did so great at story time, he did all his little hand motions and danced with the music. Josh was one proud daddy.
